Plus Ultra II now offers more than lab and office for start-ups, scale-ups, and established organisations in the Agri & Food sector. Within Plus Ultra II, the Food Innovation Kitchen is a unique addition that empowers the campus on the future of agrifood.
Created to inspire new innovations in food development and ingredient design, the Kitchen brings together entrepreneurs, researchers, and industry experts to advance the next generation of food products. Here, you will find a special focus on alternative proteins, functional ingredients, and the valorisation of side and residual streams. It’s a space where knowledge and expertise are shared, and where interaction, co-creation, and growth come naturally.

Facilities for sustainable innovation
Application Kitchens
Two identical, fully equipped kitchens for developing, testing, and optimising innovative food products and ingredients. These kitchens include shared access to professional processing and analytical equipment.
Demonstration Kitchen
The Demonstration Kitchen is designed for product demonstrations, tastings, and professional product photography. The open kitchen set-up encourages direct interaction between chefs, developers, and guests. This kitchen is ideal for co-creation sessions with partners or clients, accelerating innovation and feedback loops.
Storage and Support Facilities
The Food Innovation Kitchen offers comprehensive refrigerated, frozen, and ambient storage options, as well as a dedicated wash area equipped with a professional dishwasher for an efficient workflow.
Changing Room/Portal
Facilities for changing clothes, secure storage of personal items, and handwashing/disinfection are included, ensuring safety and hygiene standards.
